(Globally) - Over 50 cities across six continents will join a coordinated, multi-city economic blockade on April 15 in solidarity with Palestine. The aim is to cause maximum economic impact, with actions similar to the recent port shutdown in Melbourne, Australia, as an example.
What: Cities from around the world will use coordinated direct action to fight for a liberated Palestine. Each city will identify and blockade major choke points in the economy, focusing on points of production and circulation with the aim of causing the most economic impact.
When: Various times on April 15, 2024
Where: Over 50 cities across six continents
Who: This day is organized by globally conscious people in various cities who believe it is within our collective power to stop this genocide. More importantly, it’s our collective responsibility to do so. Each action is a unique and autonomous act of solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Why: We have witnessed seventy five years of occupation and 189 days of genocide enacted upon our indigenous Palestinian siblings. Every day we witness unfathomable acts of cruelty and the martyrdom of children on our phones. We grieve alongside them as their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children are martyred as their land is occupied, and as their sacred spaces are desecrated. We are inspired by their resilience, strength and an enduring resolve to resist.
